Culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) women are those whose first language is not English and/or who were born in a country other than Australia. This covers a broad range of women, including asylum seekers, refugees or women who have migrated to Australia.

It is well recognised that English language skills are paramount to settling in Australia and yet there are many women who don't speak English at home. This can create barriers to gaining employment, accessing health services and generally feeling connected and functioning within the community.

Below are a range of links to services and information to help and support CALD women, in particular in the areas of domestic violence and homelessness.
