The Institute is committed to improving the lives of people who are affected by HIV or hepatitis by delivering community education and professional training to HIV and HCV community-based workers and to other workers interested in improving their skills and knowledge in this field. Specialised counselling and support services for people affected by HIV or HCV are also offered by Relationships Australia (SA).
Our services are state-wide and flexible to the changing setting of the hepatitis and HIV epidemics and the shifting needs of people affected by the viruses, both at an individual and community level. We invite the meaningful involvement of people living with HIV and hepatitis, not only through the programs we offer but also in the design, development and review of our services.
Two programs addressing HIV and HCV issues are available:
The HIV and HCV Workforce Development Program – assisting organisations to extend the knowledge and skills of their staff.
PEACE Multicultural HIV and Hepatitis Service – raising awareness and knowledge of HIV and hepatitis in culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
