Social Media Survey

Issues related to social media and technology use are cropping up more often in family and relationship counselling sessions, says a Relationships Australia Victoria (RAV) survey.

And although social media is largely seen as a positive development (as indicated by 63 per cent of community survey respondents), it also is causing relationship problems largely around privacy, time demands and communication.

Charter of Rights Endorsement

On January 24, 2012, Relationships Australia (SA) became the 47th organisation to endorse the Charter of Rights for Children and Young People in Care.
CEO Judith Cross signed the certificate with the Guardian - Pam Simmons and accepted the Certificate on behalf of Relationships Australia (SA) staff who provide counselling, support and education through a network of offices and outreach centres across the state.

Wednesday 29 February 2012, Port Lincoln. ‘Talking About Suicide’ is an all day training program for community members to gain the knowledge and skills in order to respond to people at risk of suicide in their community.

The training will include background information on suicide in Australia, exploration of risk factors and warning signals, assessing suicide risk, how to respond to suicide risk and building hope and resilience for the future.
