The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment replaces the TAA40104 Training Package for Assessment and Workplace Training. The qualification focusses on developing participants’ skills in:
- Planning and implementing training programs
- Supporting students to learn
- Assessing student participation
This qualification assumes that the learner is engaged in a training and education environment or has a vocational skill at a level that supports training and education in the subject area in which it is intended to teach.

It is assumed that participants in this program will have access to or be working within a training and education environment
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you can gain employment in training and assessment roles in various industries, including:
- Vocational teacher

Number of Face to Face days: 22
On the Job Requirements: An integral part of this qualification is the requirement to conduct training and assessment within a workplace; and as such, participants will be required to plan and implement on the job learning and mentoring activities with workplace colleagues
Off the Job Requirements: Participants will be required to undertake self-directed learning, outside of classroom delivery
