This cross cultural training is designed for workers who provide services to people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse backgrounds. Its purpose is to help workers develop awareness and understanding of cultural issues and their impact on client support and
It will also explore how to overcome language barriers with the effective use of interpreters by using real scenarios; and the complexities of working with interpreters when responding to CALD women and their children affected by Domestic Violence. There will also be an opportunity to discuss practice issues.
Members outside the sector can register if vacancies are available. A charge of $50 will apply to non-members.
