CULTURE: Working With African Women Affected By Domestic Violence

February 4, 2016 @ 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

This workshop is designed to give you an understanding of African culture. It sheds a light on some of the historic and contemporary social, economic and political forces that impact African
women and men; and how these forces shape attitudes, behaviors and worldview.

You will learn practical cross cultural communication and engagement skills needed to work with African women. Understanding these factors will help you to develop strategies that will adequately meet the need of African women affected by domestic violence.
