The Garden Therapeutic Group – Train the Facilitator (NAHA)

Thursday 1 June & Friday 2 June - 9.30am - 4.30pm

The Garden Therapeutic Group is for infants and toddlers aged 0-4 years accompanied by a parent, who have experienced homelessness or domestic or family violence.

The Garden promotes shared positive experiences and supports the relationship between a parent and their child. The group sessions use child focused, evidence-based theories and themes including music, relaxation, cooking, exploring and puppetry.

Over two day you will learn how to facilitate the program and be provided with tips and advice on how to achieve therapeutic outcomes for parents and their children. Time to practice and familiarise yourself with the exercises and sessions is included in this two-day workshop.

As part of this training, you will receive a comprehensive facilitator’s manual required to run The Garden successfully. Click here to view the manual.
