This full-day DHS-accredited training is designed for professionals and volunteers who are mandated reporters. Participants explore their reporting obligations and learn how to identify indicators of harm, respond safely to disclosures, and create environments that support the wellbeing of children and young people.

Mandated reporters and those working or volunteering in organisations where children and young people may attend.

What the Course Involves 

The workshop uses presentation of case examples, reflection and discussion to build confidence and practical know-how in safeguarding children.

Increasing child safety is a central responsibility of community-focused roles. This course gives participants clear, practical tools for identifying and responding to risk of harm, outlines legal responsibilities and is required training for many volunteer and paid roles.
