CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services | Yorke and Mid North


The Australian Institute of Social Relations is offering fee free training for the Certificate III in Community Services to those living in the Yorke and Mid North regions.

This course is being offered as part of the Fee Free joint initiative of the Australian and South Australian Governments for regional South Australia.

The training will include face to face workshops based in Port Pirie and blended self-paced/live instruction via online learning.

To be eligible you must identify from one or more of the following groups:

  • First Nations Australians
  • Unemployed or at risk of unemployment
  • Eligible visa holders

You must also meet other eligibility and course admission requirements including:

  • Reside or work in the Mid North or Yorke Regions
  • Must be able to travel to, and attend on-site days in Port Pirie
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen
  • Be a permanent Australian resident or an eligible visa holder
  • Be aged 16 years or over and not enrolled at any school
  • Successful completion of the Core Skills Profile for Adults (CSPA)

What this program offers

The Certificate III in Community Services qualification reflects the role of entry level community services workers, who support individuals through the provision of person-centred services under the direction of others.

This training aims to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to:

  • Respond to clients and identify presenting needs
  • Refer to services and provide support and assistance

You will learn from experienced practitioners who will support you at every stage of your learning.

How it will be delivered

Blended learning – Online classes and self-paced workshops + face to face assessment workshops (approximately 2 days per term).
